Here is a [brainyfaceproject] Photoshop tutorial from Michael that demonstrates how to create partial color images, using various selection techniques. The effect produces a grayscale image with colorized objects which really pop! Techniques covered include color range selection, quick selection and hue/saturation adjustment layers. This video is approximately 15 1/2 minutes long.
